Golgotha's WWII Western Front - Fubar Game

Herewith, a WWII Western Front - Fubar Game with both my sons - lucky dad. My younger son was playing the Germans - No doubt then the SS Division Hitlerjugend or 12th SS Panzer Division "Hitlerjugend", perhaps as part of the last ditch German defensive operations at Caen before the utter disaster of the Battle of the Falaise Pocket. Here they are trying to deal with a combined US paras and British, perhaps Canadian force, or some such, as we were not trying to create any specific battle.

Certainly, the Germans did not do well here against the allied onslaught and their panzers were soon smouldering wrecks. But fun was had by all - given our previous game were my youngest son had dealt a devastating blow to a Russian armoured attack made him perhaps overconfident here and unlucky despite his superior armour. Most of the German infantry withdrew in good order, no doubt to establish an ambush further down the road - Hitler would have been furious at such a retreat.

German officer at he top of the church in this game is an Atlantic miniature. See picture below:

The road I used here really annoyed me - and seeing it here again reminds me I need to make some roads.

Supporting artillery up on the ridge proved very effective.

German commander looking somewhat bemused by the allied artillery support.
