Golgotha's Terrain - Wind Mill

Herewith, a Windmill ideal for Old West and or Boer War etc. settings.

See: https://leadadventureforum.com/index.php?topic=123947.msg1566817#msg1566817

It is a HO OO railway model so a tad small for 28mm. Would perhaps work in the background for 28mm. It will certainly serve my purposes well as a bit of Boer War scenery. Just need to construct a suitable farm house to go with it. I am also considering a water dam which are typical of the South African landscape and normally found next to one of these. May need to consider scratch building a bigger one or purchasing a MDF laser cut variant.

Front view. I built it first then undercoated it grey and then added a series of washes. Then a dry brush and a few touch ups of the detailing.

Rear view. The ladder is a rather nice addition. The model was clearly molded using a 3D printer and part of the longest part of the process was getting rid of the hairs from molding. Having said that it is a very nice kit, well detailed and goes together very well.

Side view.

This rather useful technical drawing may be of use to anyone planning on scratch building their own. From: https://www.pinterest.co.uk/pin/65654107045401454/?nic_v1=1a%2FzdYDpWT7PNGY17KfnHXZ%2F91CD%2FJaUi8ne55amNR19G89s3lB9Hjyu95qgFaCMIu

Thinking scale this poster from 1884 suggests that one could have a smaller Windmill.

Warbases do a rather large and lovely looking Windmill, see: https://warbases.co.uk/product/wind-pump/
