Finally managed to play Mantic's Halo Flaspoint had 2 games both with 3 players. Very similar mechanics to Mantic's other great game Deadzone which I think I prefer but both are fun and well worth playing.
As the chap who I played as ally with said of the game:
"Managed two games of flashpoint. 200pts of Spartan 4s vs 200pts of Sangheli warriors in stronghold. The elites absolutely decimated the Spartans, constantly applying pressure and keeping them on the back foot to secure the victory.
Next up was the famous ODSTs vs the Spartans in oddball. Almost immediately the ODSTs came out swinging, the Bullfrog with a sword jumping into combat every chance he got, while the battle rifle armed troopers laid down impressively accurate fire against the Spartans.
Spartans however showed off their superior physical abilities, pressing the ODSTs back and ensuring they were constantly pushing against the tide.
The game ended 11-10 to the ODSTs."
