Got to play naval game with new sea mat, see terrain section, cheap table cloth from Temu. Played 3 merchant ships trying to get to the protection of a bastion and the French navy being attacked by 3 Barbary Corsair ships. The final tally saw 2 merchant ships sunk. The one having had its magazine explode. The third was boarded and captured by the Corsairs as for the French naval ship it got damaged and was taking on water allowing the Corsairs to escape back to North Africa with thier booty The bastion played no part as the Corsairs avoided getting into its range. The wind truly favoured the Corsairs.
Final action French crippled. Corsairs make good their escape.
Catastrophic explosion as magazine goes off. Must have been some dangerous cargo!
These were not used just want show paper ships against Warlord mi iature ships. At a distance one can hardly discern the difference. Goes to show wargaming can be a cheap hobby.

First casualty I made nice little ship wreck ideal for this poor unfortunate victim of dreaded Corsairs. One Corsair would stop to pick up survivors and any cargo an unfortunate end for a life of slavery. To the oars they go bellowed the Corsair captain.
French navy proved useless indeed at a critical moment to have a raking broadside she decided to miss.
The French cat was not amassed by there naval prowess or rather lack thereof... no fish for your dinner kitty...
What do sea monsters eat?... fish and ships...
The bastion and battery. Could only look on in dismay and disappointment.
