The first time I saw wargaming other than the board wargames we used to play at home was at Wits University and I recall two games having a significant impact on my young mind. One was a fantasy siege game with battlements and ladders and also one side had wolf riders. The other was a Battletech game. Finally I have gotten into Battletech all these years later and the Alpha Strike rules are a fantastic addition to the long pedigree of all that is Battletech. For my Lance gone for interesting paint effect found a purple green metallic spray paint and the cour changes depending on angle and light. Rather pleased with the unusual finish. Still need vase them.
