Herewith some pictures of a large Dragon Rampant game with my youngest son. The battle for Bear Mountain. He was playing the dwarves and he completely annihilated my attacking orcish force. Many of my orcs having been lost to the dwarven crossbowmen. The flanking attack of my trolls going through the woods also having failed.
Herewith, a classic old Napoleonic board game by Attactix Adventure Games, called Victory at Waterloo. This is a great little board wargame. Simple and quick play whilst being tactical and realistic in result. I particularly like the fact that strategic positions can be won and lost and that lines reform.
First game was French Tactical victory - so won the battle but lost the war styled result, see table below. The Prussians in my first game had little to no impact except a small cavalry action. Also easy to play these rules solo.
Picked it up for £3.00 at a charity shop - in very good condition.
Alternative and or additional rules are available on Boardgamegeek and look like they are worth giving a go...
Whilst not as good a game as Napoleon by The Avalon Hill Game Co, see: https://boardgamegeek.com/boardgame/1662/napoleon-waterloo-campaign-1815 it is still very enjoyable.
