Wycombe Warband - Lion Rampant Dark Age Wargame - Saxons versus Vikings

Local club game this week was an 8 player Lion Rampant Dark Age Wargame - Saxons versus Vikings. Each player had 2 to three units so a rather large skirmish that worked out well and was great fun. I was on the Saxon side and lost all three of my units a skirmish archer unit of mine was destroyed by a single Viking! and my other two units both warriors one of which were veterans had a similar fate. In the end Alfred the Great was killed in a challenge - so changed history... 

The rules worked out well though there was some criticism of the three inch rule and with the game being rather large we did have a number of traffic jams. 

The one chap had some lovely little forest scenes to add some terrain interest with foxes, badgers, and owls etc. including a rather large ladybird - terrifying but cute.

Golgotha's 10mm Fantasy - bases completed and two giants added

Herewith some of my 10mm Fantasy miniatures - finally managed to get the bases done and also added two giants. These are two old small 25mm miniatures but think they look the part.
